Frequently Asked Questions
-
What does a therapy session look like?
Each session is personalized to your child’s needs and interests. Therapy is play-based and engaging—your child might swing, climb, create art, or play games, all while working on their developmental goals. Sessions are one-on-one, focused, and designed to feel fun and empowering while targeting important life skills.
-
Where is therapy provided?
We bring therapy to your child’s natural environment—whether that’s your home, their daycare, preschool, or school (with permission). This setting helps promote comfort and meaningful learning by working in the places your child lives and learns every day.
-
How long will my child need OT?
Every child is unique, so therapy timelines vary. Some children may benefit from short-term support, while others may need more ongoing care. We regularly re-evaluate progress, adjust goals, and communicate with you every step of the way to make sure therapy stays relevant and helpful.
-
Do you take insurance?
We currently accept Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Tricare, Carolina Complete Health, and Trillium.
Before starting services, we will complete a benefits verification to help you understand your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs. We’re happy to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
Not in-network with your plan? No problem! We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
-
We don't have insurance. Are other payment options available?
Yes! We offer flexible payment options and are happy to work with families who are paying privately. We also provide transparent billing so you know exactly what to expect—no surprises. If you’re paying out-of-pocket, we can issue superbills to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance provider (if applicable). Your child’s care is important, and we’ll do our best to support your family’s needs.
-
My child doesn't have a diagnosis. Can OT still help them?
Absolutely! A formal diagnosis is not required to begin occupational therapy. If you’ve noticed challenges with daily tasks, sensory responses, emotional regulation, or motor skills, OT can help support your child’s development and build their confidence—no label needed.
